Ah, Thanks guys! I found a mount command burried in all the samba stuff, but it's pretty obtuse for daily use. I guess the idea is to include it in a startup configuration so that you don't have to type it by hand. something like mount -t smbfs //machine/drive /mountpoint At this point, the mount was read only.
