If you're still running an older version of Samba, it might be wise to
upgrade. There is a potentially exploitable overflow on the password
change routine.

I say "might be wise" because if you're like me, the only user that is
using Samba is trusted - I am not too concerned about my wife or I
hacking into my server. :)

If you're using it at work, definitely upgrade. No _known_ exploits
yet, but only a matter of time.

Cheers,

James

PS - I have a bunch of O'Reilly stuff - a 2003 calendar, catalogs, etc.
I need someone to distribute them at the March meeting (I'll be out of
town). Volunteers to come get them?

Toby - you recovered from your mountain climbing adventure yet?
