I'm curious too. Where did you set the ulimits Myron? Is that in
MIMEDefang, sendmail, other? Did you have SpamAssassin running on it as
well? What are you using now? Did it just reject outright the large
packages?

SpamAssassin is set by default (I believe) to not process messages over 200
kb, but I think they're still let through so if it's choking it would see to
be in the antivius milter or some additional functionality that MIMEDefang
adds. Amazingly, the MIMEDefang guys are very responsive to email. I've
written several commmercial vendors with questions and never qot a reply.
They answered w/in 20 minutes yesterday. If you can give more details, I'd
be interested in asking them about the issue.

I think they sell support for it too, but haven't checked out the details
yet. That's a nice plus in a production environment; newsgroups and mail
lists are great, but if you're up against the wall it's nice to have a live
body to call for instant help. CanIt is a commercial package based on
MIMEDefang which I'm going to look at as well. It seems to be MD on
steroids, web interface, etc...
