The O'Reilly Open Source Conference (San Diego, California July 22-26) is
"the central gathering place for the open source community to exchange
ideas, share techniques, push the technical boundaries, and maximize the
benefits of open source software."  (Quote from O'Reilly)  Information is

JLUG members get a 20% registration discount if you are attending.  There
is also a 20% early-bird discount for registrations before June 10.
(These are applied sequentially, so the total discount will be 36%, not
40%.)
