I won't be in town for the November meeting. The bootable USB Linux demo
sounds interesting. Would like to show one off to the folks that are
already impressed with the Knoppix LiveCD!
I recently bought a used IBM T41 laptop, so it will be easier for me to
do demos....lugging my desktop system around was a real pain! I could do
some more Gimp tutorials, as this would be a good testbed for giving
Gimp classes at work.
I would be interested in demos using GPS's and GPS software like
GPSDrive. I will be using my Garmin GPS to map the roads and trails
around our hunting camp in upper Michigan. I will bring the waypoints
and tracks into QGIS, where I have a project setup with DRG's (quad
maps) and Digital Orthophotos. It would be nice, though, to be able to
set things up so I could use GPSDrive while on my boat. Anyone have
experience with this?
