Hi Nels,

Good point about the parking situation, I hadn't thought of that :)

I'm unsure when midterms will be for most students. I'll check with my
wife and see about when hers are scheduled, and try to get an idea of when
would be a good time. I agree that the sooner the better, especially as
the stress level goes up. If we could get a Saturday room and start mid
afternoon or so I think it would be best. Most people don't work
Saturdays and a mid afternoon start would help those who, umm....stayed up
a bit late friday....to get moving. If we have enough time in the room it
could go for as long as need be. Food will be a problem after awhile but
the cafeteria would be open and of course people could probably donate
junk food.

While I was bouncing ideas around last night I realized extra
hard-drives would be a great help. I'm not certain but I would imagine
HD's could be had at the state surplus for very cheep. They wouldn't need
to be much, only about 3 or 4 gigs (IMHO) for a base install plus gnome or
KDE. This would make installs almost pain free and enable people to try
the linux thing out without much risk to their current setup. Does anyone
have a stack of old IDE (and perhaps SCSI) drives they could donate?

Justin
