[juneau-lug] New laptop

Hey one of the benefits of being over here is more or less tax free shopping.  
So I picked up an off-brand laptop today with a DVD+-RW for well under $1K.  
The DVD burner is what sold me, everything else being pretty standard for 
laptops these days (AMD Sempron 1.6GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 80GB drive, etc.)  
Since I don't have my mini-DV camera here, it's not like I have a source for 
DVD info, but I'm thinking ahead to when I get back. (I'm probably in enough 
trouble for buying the laptop, buying another mini-DV camera would be a little 
over the top...)

My problem being that I cannot download anything here, and can't save an 
attachement that arrives via e-mail.  I know that Jamie sent me some CDs with 
OpenOffice and the Debian decss .deb on them.  I think they're lost in the mail 
- I get care packages & stuff in about 14 days, rarely more than 21 days.  
Letters take 7-14 days.  Anyone care to send a CD with the debian .decss on it?

(I know, I know - I should be using a distribution with fewer hangups about the 
technicalities of 'free' if I want to have anything to do with the music or 
movie industries...)
