We have another New Riders book (in addition to the routing book still
on the way):

Linux Firewalls, 1st Edition.

This edition covers Linux kernel 2.2 and ipchains, not the newer 2.4
kernel (covered in Linux Firewalls, 2nd Edition). However if you're
using Debian Potato for a firewall box like I do, or you are using
RedHat 7.x with ipchains, this is the book for you.

If you want to wander into the *BSD arena, I have pdf and hard copies of
the ipf howto, which is a very good howto on setting up an ipf based
firewall. Actually, you don't really need BSD for ipf, Linux will work
just fine...

Cheers,
