Sounds like a good idea. I've playd with quite a few of the "smaller" distros. Unfortunately most of them are gone now. My favorite so far has been Peanut and Libranet. I almost downloaded Lycoris (I believe formerly known as Redmond Linux) but it just looked too un-Linux, too much like P. -Jim -----Original Message----- From: juneau-lug-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:juneau-lug-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of James Zuelow Sent: Sunday, May 05, 2002 7:58 PM To: juneau-lug@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [juneau-lug] New Distros (was: OpenOffice.org 1.0) ----- Original Message ----- From: "JBarber" <barber@xxxxxxx> To: <juneau-lug@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 05, 2002 5:57 PM Subject: [juneau-lug] Re: OpenOffice.org 1.0 > > James, > I'll take a copy. Has anyone tried Lycoris? I notice their laptop is sold out. (Apparently they did a smart thing - picked up some old PII laptops from IBM cheap, and resold them complete with IBM warranty.) Maybe a good subject for June - small distribution month where anything BUT RedHat, Mandrake, SuSE, Debian, etc. can be shown. What do you think?
