Welcome Phil!
As you see above, I meant to say October, not September (unless
anyone wants to come over tonight). Perhaps some core meetings would be
good. I'm just worried that the LUG will dissapear for lack of interest
on our part.

I am available from 5pm on on any day of the week except Mondays
and Wednesdays to host a full fledged meeting or a smaller 'admin'
meeting. I'd like to catch up on some things, such as the status of the
O'Reilly and RedHat LUG programs, etc. and to get a handle on membership
& what we think that really means. I know that Toby and Sean were
interested in helping out, but last time we had a meeting it was just
the three of us, and so it was hard to make any kind of decisions. I am
kind of hesitant to reserve one of the rooms at the libraries for a
meeting, just to sit there for a couple of hours picking my nose. We
had a good opportunity last week to talk with Tony, but lamed out on
him.

Now I know that everyone is busy - Phil and Jim both have new
babies, I'm going to school, etc. So a lot of the organization can be
done right here if you like - sort of 'virtual meetings.' Linux is a
network OS, so that kind of makes sense anyway. As long as the
information keeps flowing, and we can figure out a way to advertise our
existence, the LUG can remain alive even without regular face to face
meetings (although that would be nice too).

Thoughts?
