Hello, all,

I have an old 486 laptop (Dell Latitude) for which I would like to get
some RAM. I've gotten Linux on it, by just plugging in an old hard
drive containing Redhat 6.2 which I had laying around after upgrading my
good laptop, but its current 12MB just isn't enough for this modern
stuff (but it's great until I startx).

Ideally, I'd like to get two 16MB sticks, which would max it out at
40MB. It doesn't take the modern 144-pin sodimm, but an older package
of similar size, with far fewer and larger contacts.

I have some relatively modern laptop RAM; one 16MB and one 32MB, both
the modern 144-pin sodimms (I think that they're pc66), and would be
delighted to trade them for some RAM that would fit this neat old
monster. If anyone has some old-fashioned RAM that might do the job,
bring it to the meeting and we can swap. I'd give both of my modern
ones for two 16MB sticks that would fit.

By the way, I offered someone to try printing something on my Epson C80,
but I suspect that my reply never got through. That offer still
stands; email me a nice big picture and I'll let you know how it comes
out. Just the one though, please!

Nels
