At least the version of hmount, hcopy, etc. in Debian testing will complain
vociferously if you don't provide an unambiguous path. I've found that using
an absolute path every time is best.

Don't think it would be any different with an rpm distro like YellowDog.

You'll find that there are some strangeness with packages that are "available"
for PPC (meaning they compile), but that don't work exactly right. afio comes
to mind, for versions 2.4 and lower. So be sure to test things before you use
them.

Also keep in mind that YellowDog's end-of-life for 3.0 is April 16th. I don't
know for sure what that means as far as security updates are concerned, but I
can't see any security updates for 2.3 past June 2003. So you *may* be looking
at an upgrade later this summer.

Cheers,

James
