I agree with James - I get Linux Journal and Linux Pro. The latter,
with the DVD's, is kinda of pricey but it was a present to me. I can
dupe DVD's if someone on the list is in need. But if the library took
this on, that would be nice. Blanks at costCo cost $30 for a stack of 100.

Started playing with a Acer Aspire One yesterday and found Knoppix
booted faster than the pre-installed WinXP Home. Compiz Fusion gave
some cool graphics and apps seemed to run faster, though that's harder
to measure. This little netbook has 3 USB ports, 2 slots for memory
cards, 802.11b/g + RJ-45 for wired, webcam, 1G ram, 160GB hd, and costs
$300 at costCo. The included 3-cell battery is perhaps the weakest
feature, but 6 and 9 cells are available.
