Too bad I just left Juneau yesterday (I was home on leave for 2 wks - just
between the two meetings!). I've got several PPC Macs running Debian.

Debian will install on new and old-world Macs, although old-world Macs can be
troublesome due to flakey open firmware issues. Jacob can tell you about his
'molar.' It is running Debian testing now, but for a while it looked like we
killed it. New-world Macs are much easier to deal with. The Debian PPC
install images are online.

Fedora Core also has a bootable PowerPC image, as does OpenBSD, etc. etc.
There are lots of options.

Cheers,

James
