Well, that wasn't really my point anyway.  I should have used a better
example.

With Solaris, you are not even allowed to copy the CDs and share them:

For that reason alone, I would strongly discourage anyone from sharing
their Solaris CD set at a LUG meeting, or implying that it is OK to do
so.  According to the copyright owner it is not.  It would be just
like "sharing" your Windows 2000 CD set.  

The whole point of free software is that we can use it, share it, play
with it, and learn from it without having to wear eye patches and say
"aarrgh" all the time.
