OK, please read this thread:

http://www.lib.uaa.alaska.edu/aklug/archive/2006-12/0102.html

When you get to today, you'll see a request for server requirements. We
should probably start there for our server.

Over the weekend I'll get the server physically ready. I will throw a
base install of Debian Etch on it.

We need to decide:

1) Who gets/needs ssh access to the server.

2) Who gets/needs the root password. Debian's default sudo
configuration does not require knowledge of the root password, unlike
some other distributions, so knowledge of the root password != not
having ability to administer parts of the server.

3) Services that will be offered.

4) Who will administer the services. This CANNOT be one person doing
everything, and requires a certain amount of commitment on the part of
administrators. i.e. I've seen LUG sites with cool features like wikis
and dynamic php interfaces get defaced and stay defaced for long periods
of time because the sysadmins don't pay attention (some big ones too).
