Greetings All: UAS sounds perfect: lots of room, already wired... the Auke Bay campus (maybe a little out-of-the-way) or the Bill Ray Center downtown( perhaps more conveniently located.) Do we have any UAS faculty in the LUG? Anyone with connections at UAS? If not, I'll volunteer to nag my better half until she agrees to help us get space. Mary recently discovered Linux (it's difficult to ignore me with computers torn up all over the living room in the midst of one of my anti-M$ tirades) and has expressed favorable attitudes toward it and OpenSource in general. She is assistant professor of educational technology and usually works out of the Bill Ray center. I don't know how many of you have been in there, but it has several medium-sized classrooms and I believe at least some of them are already wired (but don't quote me on that, because every computer in the place my be on a wireless Mac network.) Let me know what you think... Steve > > > > possible dates. Also has anyone give thought to an install > > fest? Either at the University or anywhere else?
