Hmm, that's too bad. We can't afford the place on our own. :/

What we need is an easily locatable, big, networkable area. The
conference rooms at the downtown library are too small, and you have to
drag equipment up the elevator. The conference room at the valley
library is a bit better, but you still have to drag equipment through
the mall and then through the library. I don't think either location
would really appreciate us if we just reserved the room and set up an
installfest. :) Douglas is just plain out of the way.

My office is an OK place to go, but I'd have to get permission. We've
got a smallish conference room, but there are plenty of outlets and 14
live RJ-45 jacks in the walls. I could isolate the conference room from
the rest of our network if need be, and with a few extra patch cables
increase the RJ-45 count to 28. (Essentially all of the wall jacks
would be on one switch, with a link to the internet.) Since the
Anchorage office has been hosting the AKLUG Friday night meetings,
permission might not be that hard to come by. Stay tuned.

If someone else has a location to offer up, it would be good to have
alternatives.

Cheers,

James
