Ouch.  At least put NetBSD on it.  (I'll donate the sgimips net install CD.)  
Looks like there are three or four people using the NetBSD port, and they could 
probably use debugging help.  A project box.

The processor is supported at least by Linux - so it is something else in the 
architecture that is missing.  Might be a patch-the-kernel issue like my IBM 
6015 boxes.  However it would be a project and a half box.
