That was my first impression, with the hardware situation.

| it goes with the DOS SMB client!

I'm still interested in seeing if I can get the DOS SMB working. I do have a
friend who works at Kent State University in Ohio and at times he is able to
give pointers. He is one of their chief networking guys and a linux guru. At
times, though, his time is limited.
