Hi James,
Thanks for the response. The reason I asked is that I'm a current Olympia,
WA LUG member and a former Bellingham, WA LUG member and my fiancée and I
are looking at moving to Juneau. I was wondering if you or anyone else on
here might offer any advice. I'm attempting to find a job in the IT realm
having formerly worked as an IT Manager for a small company up in Bellingham
for a couple years, and also having worked as a technical service rep for a
year before that. If I don't find anything shortly I plan on working on some
certifications to formalize my knowledge and round/refresh it a bit more.

We've done lots of reading on Alaska and Juneau and I've been up to
Anchorage and Homer a few times (back when I was a kid), but any inside
connections I can find at this point I figure are for the best. Not looking
for anything I can easily search for online, but any tips on finding decent
rental properties, or the least expensive way to get up there if I need to
head back and forth to interview/find property, stuff along those lines is
what I'm thinking.

Anyway, hope this isn't annoying, I'm happy to talk about GNU/Linux and
tech'y stuff too, but my main reason was finding people with similar
interest that might provide some pointing in the right direction. I know you
guys don't do meetings, but any social type pizza party stuff?

Cheers,
Adam
