There's a brand new version of Emacs stable out, June 2, 2007.
It's listed here: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/
so you can download it directly from the Gnu.

I have Fiesty Fawn running on a server too and I'm
amazed how simple it is to install and configure.
