Make the jump to Core 3 over my Core 2 installation. Pretty painless,
really. I had thought that I would have problems because of all the
customizations I had made. UDev seems to work o.k. I had to comment out
the fstab entry for my jumpdrive to get it working. My USB printer works
fine. I have a permissions issue with certain files that I have tried to
delete. Might be something to do with SELinux, though I thought that it
was disabled in the kernel line of GRUB...will have to double check
that, but it's not that big of a problem right now. As soon I did the
upgrade, I used Synaptic to see what updated files were available.....
found 254! Took a while for that upgrade, but everything seems to be
working smoothly, even BZFlag (after installing the nVidia driver.) If I
wasn't doing the demo tonight, I would upgrade my laptop too.

See everyone at tonights meeting.
