James,

Your welcome.

I don't have anything with scsi. Was thinking of taking the first disk
to work and for giggles, see if I could get the installer going on my
Dual Xeon, Dual Scsi, system. Let you know if it works.

After dropping off the disks, I decided to try FC2 on a Redhat 7.3
Pentium 233 system I have....wouldn't completely load the image. Tried
to install FC1 and it stalled trying to detect the video card. I didn't
look at the install options to see if there is something else I can try.
FC2 installed just fine on the PPro 200 system which is older than the
P233. I downloaded the ClusterKnoppix ISO, burned the cd and booted just
fine on the P233. Not sure what is going on. Will work with it some more
when I have the time.

Right now I am trying to correct a problem and an annoyance with KDE
3.2. Every now and then, them taskbar and "start" menu hangs and I can't
pick anything. Have to hit esc or the alt key to get things working
again. Read that there may be a problem with QT, but so far their aren't
any updated packages. Also, I am trying to figure out how to switch
desktops when I open an application. Probably should have waited a while
before installing 3.2.

I was thinking about offering to do the Office/Web/Multimedia demo for
the March meeting. I could show KDE 3.2, KOffice 1.3, Open Office 1.1,
amoraK (since the Fedora version of xmms has mp3 support stripped out),
Scribus and a few other KDE apps. I can also show off XFCE4. I haven't
worked too much with XFCE4, but it is a nice window manager that I can
spend some more time with so I can give a reasonable demo.
