Chuck,

Thanks for the FC2 disks!

Have you tried this on an all SCSI system?

I picked up an old Micron dual-PII system from surplus that uses thier
Samurai IDE chipset. They surplused the system with two SCSI drives
and a SCSI CD-Rom. Nothing on the IDE bus.

I was going to see if the new RedHat kernel images on the FC2 disks
you dropped off would boot on the Samurai (there are problems with
2.4.20 & older). However FC2 won't boot. The SCSI controller
recognises the boot disk, and I get the boot menu, but when I tell FC2
to boot to the installer it tells me it can't find the boot CD (that
it just booted from...).

Strangeness. Is SCSI really that old-school that distributions can't
boot from SCSI devices anymore?

Cheers,

James
