I've compiled this on Alpha & PowerPC, so you should be able to use it on a Mac
running Linux. I can test it on Motorola 68k and HP PA-RISC architectures, but
I think I'm the only one on the list running those.

Playing around with it at home, I find it is much easer to manage for direct
cable connections than minicom. ./minicom -D/dev/ttyS0 will bring up a session
on ttyS0 (assuming you have rights to read & write /dev/ttyS0). No trouble at
all reaching a login prompt on one of my headless boxes, which I was never able
to get minicom to do.

So this should address Jacob's current problem, and I remember the subject of
terminal emulators in Linux coming up on the list before.

Cheers,

James
