I don't think there is a program here, Alfie. I called the landfill
this summer with the exact same question and got the same answer.
Encouraging safe disposal might be something to bring up at an assembly
meeting. Between the business community and the state/federal
government there is a LOT of computer equipment that gets tossed every
year.
