Might be because we got a business level package; 512 symetrical, 10
email addresses, etc.  Don't know if they give a different modem for us
poor hapless home users.  They never *offered* to upgrade my modem, but
then I bop into a wireless anyway so I don't really need a new four port
modem/router doohickey.
