Do an adsl-start.

route add default ppp0

I've never used the wizard - I edit the rp-pppoe.conf
file.

adsl-start I believe, if you're doing it manually.

eth1 is not brought up at boot time.
ppp0 attaches to eth1 when you adsl-start.
