Hey, I have one of those that I bought on accident for my 30-06. I'll see if I can find it and I will give it to Kevin. -----Original Message----- From: James Zuelow [mailto:e5z8652@xxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Saturday, October 13, 2007 1:57 AM To: juneau-lug@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [juneau-lug] Re: 64 bit business card rescue CD On Friday 12 October 2007 08:25, Kevin Miller wrote: > > OK - so what else outta be in a care package, as long as we're putting > one together? Ahh, whatever. Not candy, I get lots from my kids. Juneau stuff is=20 cool. =20 Pocket food, the little red rags at Fred's, baby-wipes, etc. The only=20 specific thing I'm looking for is a 7.62mm (.30cal) boresnake. Would=20 you=20 believe machine guns are not issued with cleaning kits? > So, long story short, if you want, maybe one of us can swing by and=20 run > fsck or e2fsck or whatever is appropriate on the thing so you can get > back in. (I presume that's what you're trying to do)... > Well it *is* running fsck at boot. It's an ext3 file system, so maybe=20 it's=20 even running e2fsck if that is in the stock Debian initrd. The problem is that it is hanging when it runs. My son left the machine=20 on=20 for a couple of days and it didn't finish, so I am guessing there is=20 another=20 problem. I'd have to boot the machine from CD, try fsck from there, and=20 if=20 that doesn't work attempt to rescue as much data as possible onto=20 another=20 disk. It's not too much of an issue - the kids are missing out on watching=20 DVD's on=20 the flat panel is all.
