Ahh, whatever. Not candy, I get lots from my kids. Juneau stuff is cool.
Pocket food, the little red rags at Fred's, baby-wipes, etc. The only
specific thing I'm looking for is a 7.62mm (.30cal) boresnake. Would you
believe machine guns are not issued with cleaning kits?

Well it *is* running fsck at boot. It's an ext3 file system, so maybe it's
even running e2fsck if that is in the stock Debian initrd.

The problem is that it is hanging when it runs. My son left the machine on
for a couple of days and it didn't finish, so I am guessing there is another
problem. I'd have to boot the machine from CD, try fsck from there, and if
that doesn't work attempt to rescue as much data as possible onto another
disk.

It's not too much of an issue - the kids are missing out on watching DVD's on
the flat panel is all.
