Hi Sandra,
The buffer size is to do with your soundcard, so you will find it under
options/audio this will put you on the general tab of the audio options,
you can tab through to asio panel and select it, but be warned this
might bring up the panel for your soundcard which isn't always
accessible with JAWS depending what soundcard you are using, you can
also Control + tab to the advanced settings of the audio options, and
again tab through to find Sonar's buffer setting, mine is set for 256.
The buffer size is generally dependent on the power of your
computer/soundcard etc and affects the latency of recording and also the
timing of when you press a note on your keyboard and then hear it, not
sure what issues you are having but if things have been working ok up to
now these wouldn't have changed - perhaps you have a large project
running or memory hungry Kontakt library which is slowing things down.
You might be able to free up some resources by freesing a soft synth or
two if you have several instances running,
Best,
Chris

Hello Everyone,
I’m having more adventures with my VST instruments. I have been
writing to the company who sold them to me and one of the fixes they
recommended was to “check what buffer size you have enabled in your
projects”. Which dialog box do I need to open to find this out?
Very best wishes,
Sandra.
