BonesI have PCLinuxOS running fine in a 20 GB partition. This should be sufficient for most common distros. I would suggest leaving some unallocated space with fdisk when you format/install Windows, although you can shrink an existing Windows partition afterwards to create space with the Linux partition tool parted (or qparted/gparted, depending on distro).

A question for Mike is what would be a decent size to reserve - and can this be set aside using FDisk?
