Quite easy!

Rick click on My Computer>Properties>Device manager.

Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus, then expand the menu, there will probably be lots of entries in there however read them all, one is a main controller for the others, if you see the word "Enhanced" anywhere then its USB 2.0, if not then it isnt.

Simple eh?

Alex

If you plug a USB2 device into any USB1.1 port you should get a warning that it may not perform at high speed because the port is of lower spec.

Well, that's probably true, but I'd like to know what my USB ports are before I buy the USB2 device - is there any diagnostic I can run that will tell me?
