One of the trousers I wear when going on a flight(for comfort), has what would be best discribed as a luggage strap, for a belt, the buckle is one of those snap together plastic things, that is increasing found on bags and other forms of luggage.

No problem going through the airport scanner with one of those holding up your trousers.

Gerry says...

"I replied that since passing 64 I'd had a bypass..."

No Swampy on the doorstep for that one? The environmentalists are slipping!

I would suggest you need belt, braces and (simple solution) elastic sown on
inside of waistband which may be picked and re-sown to allow for growth.

Can you imagine the subject of conversation the entire time you are away
should the single security system fail? Heaven forbid!
