Subject: [jhb_airlines] Ronaldsway For FSX Progress

Those of you who can remember that far back may be wondering what's happening with the Ronaldsway Scenery, that Mike and I pressured Tony Meredith into creating. Like Topsy, it's growed somewhat. Because Tony's normal practice of placing available objects might not get the best out of Ronaldsway, I sweet talked Ted Andrews into creating models of Terminal, Tower and adjacent King William's College, for Tony to use. When testing the emerging scenery, particularly on 08 approach, it seemed a shame to miss out the prominent Castle Rushen, so Ted was asked what he could do about that. An idea of progress to date can be seen in the shots at my Homepages link, below. Quite separately, Tony decided to try to make Castletown Harbour, at the side of which Castle Rushen sits, look less two dimensional. That part is very much still work in progress.

Still outstanding is the final bit of model making, contracted out, by Tony, to Scott White; the ex Manx Airlines hangars.

The prize for acting as ring master is that I get to fly the scenery, constantly, as it emerges, for which I'm exceedingly grateful.
