Thanks for that - I'll have a hunt around the Net for something like it. I used to have a copy of Sysoft Sandra on an earlier PC which would test most items on a system but it appears to have fallen by the wayside. bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb_airlines-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb_airlines-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of FrankTurley@xxxxxxx Sent: 20 August 2006 09:44 To: jhb_airlines@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb_airlines] Re: Pauses In a message dated 19/08/2006 20:24:54 GMT Daylight Time, bones@xxxxxxx writes: Anyone got suggestions as to how you can verify the operation of mobo, memory or CPU as individual items? Bones, One of our chaps at work has a memory test on CD, I think it was a freebie he downloaded, you boot the machine from the CD and it checks all memory. I will ask him tomorrow. He tracked down an intermitent failure on a troublesome PC by running it for a while. Replaced a memory stick and it worked perfectly. Frank T.
