Hi Gerry,


I know this might sound a little off the wall but try giving the USB =
port a
quick blast of air.  On most machines they are open to the elements and
therefore dust.  A quick blast may well resolve the problem.  Otherwise,
with the machine switched off, use a small amount of alcohol on a cotton =
bud
to give it a quick wipe, you'll be surprised at the amount of crap =
you'll
clear.  If you do this, make sure you use a second dry bud to remove any
excess fluid and give it a few minutes before switching back on again.
