Have you noticed how bright the full Moon is tonight (Thursday) and it's
going to get brighter.
Why?
Tonight the Moon is at its highest elevation (in the northern hemisphere) in 18 years and will not be this high in the sky again till 2023. Being that high means less atmosphere to reduce its brightness.
Maximum height and brightness is around midnight GMT.

(Just in case anyone can see the moon, too cloudy here!)

Cheers

Al
