Sounds like the Ace tool, once mastered, is a lot better than trying to build gauges in Notepad! Can it open previously designed gauges? That is to say does it let you look into any gauges in your FS9/X folders? bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb_airlines-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb_airlines-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of FrankTurley@xxxxxxx Sent: 21 October 2006 14:16 To: jhb_airlines@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb_airlines] Re: FSX XML gauges Cracked it! Fooled around with the ACE tool, found a preview page which displays the gauge while you edit the properties. If you drag the properties window up enough you can see all of the gauge text properties displayed, and by swopping between the elements, you can compare the properties in each element. I found a single typo, corrected it, and watched the 2nd element magically appear in the preview window. If they had mentioned the preview window in the tutorial I might have got here faster! Frank T.
