Thanks for your interest and comments. I followed Bones advice and studied
WinZip in more detail.
After downloading to dedicated folder I tried copy and paste and managed to get
the aircraft into FS9 aircraft folder but when I started FS9 the aircraft in
question was not there.
I have to be honest and say my knowledge of computors is limited and maybe I
should talk to Bones I am sure he can help me because I am really not sure of
what I am doing.

Did you really mean move to the required folder?
This can be done with some files, but others require the installation of files
to other folders.
The designers instructions are there for a purpose.
As such, you still should not crash the PC anyway, something else is going on.
If Bones is willing and has the software to directly access your machine that
will be better, it is not easy to talk someone through what may be a complex
set of instructions without seing what they are doing.

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have recently installed WinZip and have been
able to download aircraft to a folder I have named " Unzipped Aircraft". When I
have tried to move any of the aircraft to FS9 aircraft folder I have not been
able to do so and in fact have crashed my computer twice.
I have also tried to download scenery with the same results.
If anyone could give me some advise I would be most grateful.
