Mine is a Samsung R60+ but there are probably later models out there now and 
likely cheaper too. It runs an ATI Radeon Express graphics card which is 
probably why the visuals are so good - movies and video clips are fine on it. 
It also has a decent 13" x 9" widescreen.

I don't think he's going to be running any programmes, other than email 
and web related.
