yahoo or hotmail with Outlook

I have had a lot o problems trying to use Yahoo or Hotmail with JFW..
Someone suggested it might be easier to check my Yahoo or Hot mail messages
using Outlook Express, but I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone
advise me?
