yahoo messanger: switching between the edit and the message panes?

Hi all,

I used to hit F6 for switching between the edit and the message pane. Recently, 
however, I found out that the F6 is not doing its functionality. So, I can type 
but I can not read the messages I receive. Does anyone here have a clue on how 
to fix this?
