Plantronics actually has the head-phones you are talking about.
One side has the microphone and ear piece that plugs into the telephone base
and on the other side is the ear piece that connects to your computer sound
card.
I ended up putting an in-line amp on the sound card side of mine because I
couldn't get enough volume output.
I don't recall the product number but I am certain that if you contact
Plantronics customer support they can point you in the right direction.

  Good luck.

  Larry

Patricia, I haven't done this kind of work but have talked to people who
have. There is a telephone unit that hooks into the modem with an ear piece.
You can also attach a microphone in the same way to your computer. In one ear
you hear the speaker and can talk into the mouthpiece on the phone. In the
other ear you hear your computer. Look at catalogues for the visually impaired
or ask other folks if they ever heard of this device. Good luck! Judith

Are there any users who have worked in a call center and have had to use
JAWS while takling on the telephone and taking down information? What have you
found as the best solution for this?

    Thanks,

    Patricia
