That suggests to me that you have another code buried at an earlier point in
the document, possibly some sort of hard tab. go to the line with the soft
return and see if the margins are different from what you intended. then
check the line after, and then the one before. If they are wrong, keep going
back until you find the correct margin. Where the margins diverge, you
should find the errant code.
there are quicker ways of doing this, but explaining would defeat the speed.

Subject: word perfect 12 with jaws
Hi: In a wordperfect document, I'm seeing a soft page return a third of the
way down the page and can't seem to get it out. I delete it in the reveal
codes but as soon as I hit a space between words the soft page comes back.
As such, my document is changing to page 4 after only using half of the
