windows update schedule (was Re: Windows update Jaws oddity)

Was yesterday the Tuesday of the month when MS posts that month's critical
udpates?Ought to go lookthem over, then. Anyone know? I mean, people who
aren't on the automatic system?

Hi, listers,
This morning I had the latest Windows updates to install. Windows
automatically installed them and rebooted my computer. Now when Jaws comes
up automatically it is very sluggish. In any application it takes close to
a full second for Jaws to speak when I press an arrow key or type a key.
Has anyone else run into this? I am runing Jaws 7.0 on a Windows 2000
computer.
