Hi. I'mn ot willing to upgrade to JFW 5.0. whatever because of the bugs that
have been reported. So, where would I find a version of MSN that is compatible
with JFW 4.51?

yes, there is s service under administrative tools in xp that is called
messenger service. you can disable this yourself or have shoot the
messenger do it.

Having just had a look at this website, it looks like "shoot the
messenger" is only for dealing with pop-up message, not with Windows
Messenger that comes with XP.
Cheers.

Hi folks. I am using Windows Messenger, and it is a bit too social
for =
my
taste. It starts itself and signs me into MSN whenever Windows
starts. =
We
have DSL so our connection is always on.=20

I have unchecked the box that says "sign me in automatically" and
have =
also
unchecked the box that says "start windows messenger when windows =
starts".
So how can I make this program stop starting? The thing that really =
annoys
me is that I can't see that it's running and don't know that it is
until
someone im's me.=20

I am using JFW 4.51 on a windows xp home machine.=20

Any help will be greatly appreciated.=20
