Hi Alan and list

You are right the control+l locks the screen.

Ar far as getting out of the lock state I think it depends on your logon
settings.

For example I have to pres control alt del to unlock the same as I do when
loging on.

Hope the helps

Carman

Dear Jim,
I think that is the command to "Lock" your Computer's system!

Subject: windows log on screen

Heya folks,

I accidentally did a windows key and the letter L instead of my usual windows
key and M to get me back to the desktop. I think I ended up in the windows log
on screen, am running Jaws 11 and XP home, I couldn't seem to get out from
where I was as I had no speech Jaws had gone quiet, I did a combination of keys
occasionally hearing an error beep eventually I worked out all I had to do was
press the enter key straight away but because I had done a windows m the enter
key didn't work initially.

Can anyone help me with where I was exactly and if pressing all those keys I
did wouldn't have caused me changing anything
and what does me going to the windows log on screen do for me in XP home?
in other words whats it for?
and why does Jaws just go quiet?

regards,

Jim
