Daniel, it's under what's new in Jaws 6.0 if I'm not mistaken. I may have accidentally stumbled over this, not sure but it's something I find handy as I am a bit of a shortcut junky. Control Insert 1 and up on the num row speaks filename, file type, size, date last modified, and then goes on to say things about track length and so forth even though it's a text file and not an .mp3 file. I guess if it were an .mp3 file, though, it would give the numbers for those things. Interesting. Where'd you find out about this one? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hal Pearson" <hspearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2005 10:47 AM Subject: Re: windows explorer Just to add a bit to my last post, first go to view, and check details. also, in some instances control insert 2 will give you file size, at other times you get file type, if I'm not mistaken. Control insert 1 through 0 will report current column headers like file type, date modified, and file size. Focus on the file and press hotkey to get results. Yes, it does require you to use the Jaws cursor. Sorry about that. But really it's rare that I feel the need to investigate the information to that extreme. Things were sure different back in the DOS days, but enough said about that.
